Week 1 — Listings & Neighborhoods
- Vocabulary of listings; red flags; services included.
- Where to look; organizing visits; message templates.
- Stating needs and preferences clearly.
Find a place in Bolivia with confidence. Learn the Spanish of listings and visits, how to ask the right questions, and how to negotiate and read contracts clearly — so you end up with the home that fits your budget and needs.
We’ll decode listings (furnished, services included, guarantees, deposits), map neighborhoods, and plan efficient visits. In class you’ll practice asking for photos/videos, scheduling showings, and how to say what you need (kitchen, light, internet speed, noise, pets, parking).
We’ll cover negotiation and what’s normal to ask: contracts, price, deposit, inventory, repairs, and exit clauses. You’ll learn to read contracts and receipts line by line and keep a simple file with copies and photos for your protection.
Example syllabus; we’ll tailor according to the group’s level and goals.
I found a great apartment and understood the contract. No surprises, no stress.
